Heidi is always on alert to chase the deer that meander into the garden, but they usually need a bulls-eye painted on their backsides to get Heidi’s attention.  She is not the least bit jealous of the new puppy, Pie, that’s come into the house; instead, they work very nicely together, with Pie as Heidi’s personal scout in the deer invasion situations.  Heidi was very proud to sport the Stars-and-Stripes bandana for me, from the set of four holiday bandanas in the October FREE give-away, and little Pie (in the window) looks on at her patriotic buddy!
